Walter Bruneel:
Roots and Wings
Walter Bruneel is an artist who earned his wings in the digital artwork are(n)a, yet has deep and sturdy roots in traditional media .
An early background as art director in two companies (kids and teen marketing and an animation studio), merged with a continuing first love: illustration and depiction of the unseen, the imagined, the once-upon-a-time and the yet-to-come .
There is a growing portfolio of artwork, both personal and commissioned; the latter includes execution on a carrier of choice (this sounds spookier than it is), after which the digital file is destroyed. Exclusivity is then guaranteed.
Recently there has been an implementation of A.I. graphic software, which adds to the production speed and possibilities and has not turned him into a Serial Art Android.

The time not involved in creating artwork is usually spent teaching or giving workshops, most of them with metaphysical and/or holistic topics.
He currently continues to live in Ghent, Belgium, with a host of wild and wonderful Muses and a menagerie of spirits.
Ardet Nec Consumitur and all that.
Every now and then inquisitive minds pop the question how exactly the artwork is created. The answer is: Coreldraw Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Coreldraw Paintshop Pro, a whole flurry of obscure plug-ins, deep alchemy and hundreds of minions assisting in drawing and colouring (they don’t come cheap, I tell ya…). All of that on a Wacom Cintiq that withstood the test of time and is my weapon of choice in all kinds of pixelmongery.
